Sensors for hot water cylinder
I have purchased the tado° Wireless Smart Thermostat Starter Kit V3+ with Hot Water Control, but the control is just a glorified on/off switch. It does not give me any flexibility to control the temperature of the water in the cylinder nor the least to see what the temperature currently is. Due to reasons unknown it…

[Feature Request] Apple AirTags and GeoFencing
Hi, One of the limitations of the current geofencing feature is that it is limited to own devices. This means that if we have guests at home (or back when we could and hopefully when will be able to again in the near future) or someone like a nanny and me and my wife leave the house the heating shuts down. A very easy…

Be able to set max outgoing water heating temperature in central heating (CV)
In the Netherlands most people have a central gas heater which pomps hot water around in the house through floors, radiators or convectors, also called in Dutch: CV installatie. What I cannot do with Tado is adjust the outgoing hot water temperature of this central heater, via an OpenThem connection, but I cannot adjust…

More data on tiles in app
Lots of free space on room tiles in the app, to display valued information if needed. Why not add icons for heater power level, scheduled off, or open-windows detection status ? Should be useful to get a very quick overview of the system.

Don't completely disable a room from remote control because 1 device has fallen over.
I searched but failed to find similar though I suspect it is here somewhere..... In a room where there are multiple tado devices (my open plan ground floor has 1 thermostat and 3 trvs) if one device becomes disconnected the entire room is impossible to access. This seems mad. I can't find out the current temperature…

Admin users and managed users
Admin users have full access to tado, and managed users just able to adjust the temperature in rooms for a set time period.

Tank Oil Level Guage
Hi guys, I'm not sure if this has been suggested before or not but I think an oil level guage in the tank that supplies my heating system that links back to the app would be a great inclusion Not only would it alert you when the oil was low but it could also estimate how much oil you have used each month and work out a…

Expose temperature sensors to Apple Homekit
As the title says, would be handy to have access to the temperature sensors in Homekit to create automations e.g. when temperature reaches X do Y

Add Sunrise/Sunset to Graphs
By adding sunrise and sunset to graphs would allow most novice users to understand the natural thermal gain/loss purely from outside temperature and pressure on their homes and differences to different rooms. B)

Temp graphs in web version
Web version does not show the nice temp graphs that the app versions do. This should be added also to the web versions.

2FA / MFA - EU legal requirement
Hi, I've created a new post to again highlight the importance of this to Tado. Without 2 factor authentication/MFA, Tado will soon be in breach of EU law. In 2022, the EU Commission proposed the Cybersecurity Resilience Act (CRA) which introduces mandatory cyber controls to, amongst other things, IoT devices including Tado…

EnergyIQ - Display volume-based monthly forecast
In my opinion, a volume-based metric is more suitable because it is a consistent metric. Volume indication is not subject to change when energy prices/ contracts/ taxes change. Therefore, I suggest showing it alongside the "expected monthly heating cost". Or even better - change it along with the [€ | m3] toggle next to…

Cooling function for Heat Pumps with floor cooling
Please create a function where we can use Tado with a heat pump (equipped with a cooling function) connected to a floor heating system to cool the rooms (with Tado thermostat) to the specified temperature. Each room is equipped with Wireless Smart Thermostat or Wireless Temperature Sensor. The heat pump is connected to the…

Energy IQ should also work in the desktop environment
Currently it only works in the app which is strange because usually apps are more restrictive.

[Energy IQ] Allow for new meter and continue entering meter readings
When replacing a meter, it becomes hard to continue entering meter readings as one has to add the last old meter reading to the new meter readings (and sometimes even subtract the first new meter reading from that number too). Under Energy IQ, provide a meter reset button, with for the date of changeover: ++ the first new…

Tado app for Apple Watch or other watch
It’ll be cool, we had an app for the watch for using on Apple Watch or other Stead of using the HomeKit it will be better than he had an app for the watch is the same way as the iPhone and iPad Don’t want to use HomeKit Can you make one please?

Enable Tado to use other temperature sensors via HomeKit
It would be very helpful if Tado could utilise existing temperature sensors that are also connected via HomeKit. I have several existing temperature sensors in my house(e.g. Netatmo) and don't want to have to buy additional Tado ones simply to get meaningful room values to control my heating. The smart radiator valves are…
-
Avoiding sticking pins in thermostatic radiator valves
The pins in TRVs often stick in the closed position if the valve is left closed too long - such as over summer. Pre-Tado, I used to open the valves fully for the summer so that the first action at the start of the heating season was to force the pin down rather than rely on the spring to open it up. This avoids the…

More detail on device errors - Wireless Receiver
Quite often the Wireless Receiver is showing 'device errors' (blinking hazard light) but none of the devices actually have any issue. I believe that this condition is also explained by the fact that a software update may be in progress. However, this is not at all obvious. It would be really good if there was an option to…

3 modes for radiator thermostats: Off, Open start boiler, Open dont start boiler
There are times when I'd like a room to warm up "if the heating is on anyway" but I can't justify running the boiler just for that one room, this is possible on a permanent basis by not setting a zone controller, but I'd like the ability to schedule it. e.g. In my bedroom I'd like the radiator to heat up on a morning…

Add max. valve opening on thermostats!!
It is crazy how my thermostats are often overheating causing a loss since the exiting water in my radiator is boiling hot. This is CRAZY EXPENSIVE - but app still calculates this as savings which is simply wrong. Add the functionality to limit water flow e.g 25-100%! Add the functionality to set max time on the max water…

Directly select room on the Graph page, without navigating away
Please could a drop down to select each room be included on the graph screen in the App? This would allow quicker comparison of how different rooms have behaved, without having to navigate away to a different room and then selecting the charts again and again. I find the graphs of each room very useful, but find it…

Better Boost
Please look into allowing the user to control the temperature of the "boost" facility. 25°C is way too high

Report all disconnections/failures clearly in the app
Some device disconnections/failures will immediately show in the app via a change in the icon for the relevant room and changes to the reporting in the climate chart. However other devices are for some reason set up to fail quietly. For example an extension kit controlling the boiler can disconnect and the user will not…

Controlling heat pump for heating and cooling
By now more and more owners adopt air-water heat pumps to heat and cool their houses by water plumbing under the pavement, so saving energy respect to other solution. What is of paramount importance given the present surge of energy prices. Yet so far Tado has no solution for this configuration, notwithstanding it would…

Ability to rename device
When batteries are running low I get an email informing me that a particular device in a specific room has an issue. In some rooms I have 4 radiators. I then have to go round ‘blinking’ the stat multiple and watching all the stats in the room to find which one it is. it would be great to be able to rename or give a…

Air Comfort suggestions
Hello, We're supposed to make energy savings with Tadoº, but it's quite inappropriate to get a suggestion to turn the heating on when a room is just below 20ºC. The World Health Organisation recommends a room temperature of around 18°C in Winter, and The Energy Saving Trust advises setting the thermostat to around 18-21°C,…

Humidity trigger
I think it would be nice to have a humidity trigger as well as temperature trigger. As an example I have a TRV in the basement where the desired humidity is btw 60-70 and the temperature is not really important. It would be great if the TRV kicks in when the humidity is as an example above 70

Can we have a Widget
Hi, I feel that you brilliant technology would benefit hugely from a Widget, enabling a screen on my smartphone to be live feeds from the zones of my home
