Fix HomeKit support (round up of feature requests)
Hey tado, everyone seems to know better than you what your HomeKit support needs. Here I gather all the requests I have seen around: Allow temp/humidity sensors to be exposed independently. We bought these pricey TRVs. Why don't you let us use all their features? Expose battery levels in HomeKit. It is really stupid that…

Battery log
I have a couple of dozen devices. I'm changing batteries all the time. I can't remember when I changed batteries last. This is information that's useful to know – to monitor the quality of batteries, or usage of the devices. There's no way to do this with the current app. You change dead batteries, and if the time and date…

Summer mode
My heating does not need to be and is not on during summer. I do however keep getting geofencing messages when everyone leaves the house. This is a complete waste of time and an annoyance when all heating is off anyway.

More data on tiles in app
Lots of free space on room tiles in the app, to display valued information if needed. Why not add icons for heater power level, scheduled off, or open-windows detection status ? Should be useful to get a very quick overview of the system.

Skip To Next Block in Schedule
hi. love tado :) here’s my thinking. i have blocks in the schedule and sometimes once i know we’re done with a room for the day, i knock down the temp for the current thermostat earlier than it would in the schedule. it would be great to be able to hit a button for a room to be able to skip on to the next block…

Tank Oil Level Guage
Hi guys, I'm not sure if this has been suggested before or not but I think an oil level guage in the tank that supplies my heating system that links back to the app would be a great inclusion Not only would it alert you when the oil was low but it could also estimate how much oil you have used each month and work out a…

Allow users to set heating parameters to reduce pipe noises, energy drain, improve normal heaters
During my use of tado equipment I noticed the early start algorithm can start very early, heat the heater to 80 degrees, and occasionally really ask for a lot of power from the heater very quickly. Especially in older homes/older installations, this can cause issues: You wake up early when the heater wakes up, even at…

Provide method to specify type of heating system, i.e. radiators, underfloor, etc.
There is no facility to specify what type of heating system is installed. It appears Tado treats all systems as if the heating system is based on radiators. In case of a underfloor only system it is likely the floor is cold when the first call for heat after a break is generated. Currently the system would start to run for…

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 and EMS
Please can you configure the Tado wired unit to work with the Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 and EMS
-
Valve pin position indicator
My Bosch system which I got rid of in favor of Tado included in the app a place where you could see the position of the valve pin. This was useful to determine if TRV was fully opening or closing the valve pin and other temperature issues. I think this would be useful on the Tado system as well

Working Support
Here is a really novel idea. A support service that actually supports its customers! Having run into an issue, finding out that all support is now via the chat bot. Only to find that no support engineer has even looked at the request in nearly 48 hours. Disgraceful!

Display Humidity level on wired and wireless sensor display
It would be important to allow the display of humidity levels on the wired and wireless sensors (square devices) when pressing the round button. This feature could be configured in the app. The humidity level would be displayed just after the temperature. You can also extend this display to smart radiator valves.

[Released with tado° X] Integration for Samsung SmartThings
It would be great if we Tado users could connect Tado to Samsung SmartThings

Recycle unused adapters
Hello. I haven’t needed any of the supplied radiator valve adapters, so I have 7 unopened packets. Be a shame for these to go to landfill. Many others must not use theirs. Can Tado offer a way to return so they can be reused?

Incident Detection > Show boiler OpenTherm values / failure codes
For OpenTherm connections system should pass over the boiler properties and failures I am occasionally getting 2: Low water pressure errors presented on my boiler LCD (which also means no hot water or underfloor heating for me) and TADO app never shows there is failure with boiler or no heating / water Looking at OpenTherm…

Anthracite RAD Thermostats.
Got two lovely anthracite rads in my house but don't want to add white rad thermostats on them. Good idea? Some other colour options would be good.

Send notifications when firmware downloads taking place
Recently at 04:00 all my tado devices disconnected from the internet and all smart radiator valves turned to off. During the day various devices reconnected then disconnected again. On investigation I found the Smart valves were being updated with new firmware. On continuing tado I was told that firmware updates can…

Manual override notification
Please add a mobile notification when the temp is changed or turned on . As it would be very handy. I have a autistic child who keeps turning the wireless thermostat on an we don't notice till its too late Thanks

iOS 16.3 HomePod Temperature Sensor
With iOS 16.3 HomePods can now relay temperature and humidity data to HomeKit. I’ve had trouble with the room heat being cold on one side, and the tado valve is near radiator… I’m using the HomePod for offsetting the room temperature, could this be automatic ?

Lower hysteresis for underfloor heating
We have Tado controlling our underfloor heating but it has two issues: it's not learning and the hysteresis is too big. If I set the room to 20C then the underfloor heating doesn't come on until the temperature has dropped to 19C. It then runs the boiler until the room hits 20C but the residual heat in the floor keeps the…

Manual adjust graph axis
I would like to be able to adjust the axis of the temperature graphs in the Tado app. Currently this goes automatically hence graph axes jump every day and is different for each room. That makes it difficult to compare different days or rooms and makes it difficult to observe how quickly a room heats up or cools down. I…

Receive smart meter data
Either access smart meter data, or contact loop to share their access. Use this data to attribute costs to room schedules.
-
Selective boost
The boost all rooms is a nice option on occasions but what I’d really like to see is individual room boosts so if I’m working in one particular area I can boost the heating for a set period, say 15 mins without wasting energy heating the whole house.

TRV with empty batteries closes valve, but keeps requesting heat
The batteries of my TRV were empty and I received this email from Tado: > When your Smart Radiator Thermostat does not have enough charge to function, it will automatically close the radiator’s valve and the heating will remain off until you replace the batteries. Sure enough the valve was closed and an empty battery icon…

Enable Tado to use other temperature sensors via HomeKit
It would be very helpful if Tado could utilise existing temperature sensors that are also connected via HomeKit. I have several existing temperature sensors in my house(e.g. Netatmo) and don't want to have to buy additional Tado ones simply to get meaningful room values to control my heating. The smart radiator valves are…
-
Avoiding sticking pins in thermostatic radiator valves
The pins in TRVs often stick in the closed position if the valve is left closed too long - such as over summer. Pre-Tado, I used to open the valves fully for the summer so that the first action at the start of the heating season was to force the pin down rather than rely on the spring to open it up. This avoids the…

Controlling heat pump for heating and cooling
By now more and more owners adopt air-water heat pumps to heat and cool their houses by water plumbing under the pavement, so saving energy respect to other solution. What is of paramount importance given the present surge of energy prices. Yet so far Tado has no solution for this configuration, notwithstanding it would…

Advanced smart scheduling
Many people work shift patterns that require a different heating schedule each week. Would it be possible to have advanced scheduling to cover multiple weeks? Ie the ability to set a heat schedule for one week, and then have it repeat every x amount of days/weeks? In exactly the same kind of way you set up repeat…
