Hot water boost via app
There used to be functionality using the app whereby you could boost the hot water for a limited period of time, say 1/2 hr then it would return to schedule. As it now works you can only override the schedule and turn the hot water on. If you then forget to turn it off it will run 24/7, not good at all..

Add hot water boost - instead of manual control under hot water settings
In order to boost the hot water for a time period (eg 1 hour) you have to go into Rooms & devices, settings, hot water and then finally access the manual control. It would be a lot easier and more user-friendly and intuitive if there was a simple boost button under Hot water icon. In case anyone is following all the…

Hot Water 'Boost' Button - 30, 60, 90min options
We have been using TADO for 2 years - and its worked well, and so recently installed the Hot Water head unit. We find that there is a big need to have a quick way to turn on the Hot Water for just enough time to heat the tank for one bath/shower or to heat the tank for a couple of bath/showers and then possibly even…

Smart Radiator summer / maintenance / bleeding mode (leaving the radiator open)
When summer comes, the valves should stay in open position. With the currently available modes, specially referring to "OFF", the valves stay closed. This is dangerous for the valves themselves, risk to get stucked, and for the pumps of the boilers which run periodically to prevent pump lock due to long inactivity.

iPhone/Siri Shortcuts Support
TADO application doesn't appear in Siri/iPhone shortcuts. This application is very powerfull and, though complicated to use, can do much more than IFTTT in the Apple world. Tado must support Siri shortcuts. Homekit is obviously supported and a few (very limited) number of things can be done that way. Please support me.

Ability to use Wireless
Tado needs the ability to use multiple wireless temperature thermostats to control different rooms independently.

Create a range extender or let us use a second bridge...
Having olny 1 bridge per house is a massive design flaw yet to be addressed by Tado. Unless you leave in a tiny house made of cardboard walls, the TRV wlll lose connection or burn batteries in only a matter I'd a couple of weeks. I live in a house across 3 floors, I really struggle with the range and can't have full…

Heating status for On/Off mode
I would prefer to see the heating status as a simple on/off symbol rather than the three waves. I have a heating source that does not support opentherm and thereby only works in on/off mode. Why I would need this: This would be useful to really check if my heatpump is working properly: I currently do not always know for…

Increase Zone Controller Max Rooms
I ran into the limit of 10 rooms on one Zone Controller and I need it set to 12 rooms. I am sure this has also affected other Tado users retrofitting a complete house.

Postponed buying 8 Tado thermostats, looking for other solution!
Postponed my idea to install 8 tado thermostats, because it appears that, nevertheless many people ask for this integration, still nothing happens. If it comes to brands that cannot be integrated with Smartthings, there are a lot more cheaper ones on the market I figured...

Self installation
We have chosen to have our Tado wireless thermostat installed professionally. The pro told us Tado as a product is fab but he says it should not be classed as self installation because once you take off the boiler cover you have broken safety regulations and would need it to be assessed by a professional afterwards.

Air Comfort suggestions
Hello, We're supposed to make energy savings with Tadoº, but it's quite inappropriate to get a suggestion to turn the heating on when a room is just below 20ºC. The World Health Organisation recommends a room temperature of around 18°C in Winter, and The Energy Saving Trust advises setting the thermostat to around 18-21°C,…

[Released] Rechargeable batteries in Smart Radiator Thermostats VA02 hardware revision
tado EDIT 10.02.2021: We have released support for Eneloop 1900 NiMh rechargeable batteries for the VA02 hardware revision of the Smart Radiator Thermostats. - Why only Eneloop 1900 ? Because other rechargeable batteries might be too thick to fit into the battery compartiment because they are thicker than Alkaline…

Boiler demand indication on main page
Hi, it would be great to have the three waves or just a simple red dot by the temperature of each room in the main page. Or at least a way to see at glance if any of the room is forcing the boiler to run. Thanks

Simple improvement to use Tado both for heating and cooling
More and more users are moving to heath pumps both for heating and cooling, by having the same pump satisfy both needs by pumping fluid under the pavement. Unfortunately, so far, Tado only has a minimum temperature in his controller, so it is only possible to employ it for heating. A simple improvement would entail adding…

Hot water boost
Can we have a hot water boost facility that is timed. Having to let the boiler run until its next schedule is un necessary and wasteful should you forget to stop it.

Holiday Schedule
Would it be possible to add in a calendar feature to pre-programme upcoming Holidays? E.g. enter a time and date for the holiday to start and for it to end? This would remove the need to remember to switch all heating and hot water to 'Off' as you leave, plus allow for pre-planning and set the holiday parameters (e.g.…

Set a manual time limit on Manual Away Mode to go back to auto similar to the manual timer mode on the TRVs/Thermostats.

Notifications for high and low room temps.
There have been a few occasions when a Tado smart radiator valve has come loose from the radiator and allowed unrestricted flow. This resulted in the room overheating. To identify when this happened used IFTTT to monitor room temp and alert me if they were too high or too low. I want to reduce my reliance on IFTTT and I…

Smoke sensor Tado
Is there any Tado smoke sensor to be merged with Tado app and heating wireless receiver? If no, is Tado planning to release something related in the future? I just don't want to install "n" number of apps for each smart device I need.

Set a Minimum Central Heating Flow Temperature (OpenTherm)
Hi, The main purpose of this post is to try and gain an understanding of whether setting a minimum central heating flow temperature is a feature that other users of this forum would value and like to be developed by Tado as part of their algorithms. Are there any other users out there that have abandoned using the…

Merge "deleted rooms" with a new room created
I have deleted a room and re-configured again due to malfunctioning radiator thermostat. Now in my "heating activity" dashboard it shows the history of this room in "deleted rooms". Is there any ways to merge this deleted room to the new one I've created so the statistics aren't disturbed?

Add Months to schdule
I’m a recent newbie to getting this and I found it really good. I think a great idea would be to add months to the schedules rather than just days. This would then be useful for setting the schedules per summer months and winter months.I had a digital thermostat which did that and I found worked well as never had to touch…

Mention remove the existing wireless receiver
Hi all, just installed the wireless starter kit v3+. The installation instructions for Viessman Vitodens 100-W B1KC did not say anything about removing the old wireless receiver. It would be nice with a little mention on that :)

Allow "Auto" within HomeKit
Many smart heating systems when exposed to HomeKit allow the use of "OFF, HEAT and AUTO", even Drayton Wiser which can only be exposed through a custom made plug-in via homebridge can use AUTO. The AUTO function (at least as I see it) would allow the system to return back to the current schedule. For example, in HomeKit I…

allow changing the name of devices
Please allow us to change the names of devices to make it easier to identify them. For example, getting an email that tells me: "We have noticed that the batteries in your Smart Radiator Thermostat VA*******048 in the zone ****** are running low." I have 15 devices and if each device had a name I wouldn't have to waste…

Second home problem
It is, as I have found from Taco support, possible to control 2 homes from the Tado app. However, to do this, one has to log out and then log in to the second home using a different email address as a username. With his quality product, I'm surprised that Tado haven't addressed this problem in their app.

App notification for manual TRV changes
There are probably lots of good reasons for this feature but my use case: Young children, so I have the child lock on the TRVs. Technophobic parents and in-laws who can't change the heating when doing child care in the house. Spinning the TRV would be ideal for them. Easiest solution would be for me to disable TRV child…

Easy schedule or temperature change
Currently changing schedule is not that easy, we need to go through each device and each time block separately and then adjust it. Most of the time we want to change temperature level but each room might have different time schedule, then we always end up in changing one by one. This is really time consuming and tedious.…
