Tado X with dual zone heating and HW

Newbie here - I have read much about the subject but am still uncertain and would appreciate some concrete advice.

I recently moved to a 2020 built house which has a pressurised water system, Potterton Assure 15 system boiler, Megaflo EcoSystem 250SF HW tank and S type dual zone heating. There is one Danfoss TPOne-M programmable thermostat adjacent to the boiler (which is external wall mounted in the kitchen) and a second Danfoss TPOne-M wall mounted in the main bedroom. All the radiators have TRVs.

I gather that the Tado X can manage one heating circuit and one HW circuit.

I do not need two heating circuits and wonder if I can rewire the valves controlling flow to each circuit so that the Tado thinks there is only one circuit?

I could then replace the Danfoss on the kitchen wall with a Wireless Tado kit and have the Tado switch the boiler on and off for HW, and use the Tado thermostat anywhere in the house.

As far as I can see, I would need to mark the cables that feed the Danfoss and rewire them into the Tado receiver/hub which would be mounted in the same place on the wall.

Then I could simply remove the upstairs Danfoss unit and make good the wall.

Is this too simple? Have I misunderstood what can be done?

Your advice will be very welcome! Thanks!

Thanks Montage - I have found an installer who is going to do just that for me while setting up the TadoX.

Sounds ok. Just wire the two heating zone valves into the same place and they’ll open at the same time. It’ll be standard S Plan then.
