Replacing v3 Smart Radiator Thermostat with Thermostat X

Afternoon,

I'm updating from Nest + v3 TRVs to the X system. I've installed the wireless receiver and thermostat, but am struggling with replacing the TRVs which I'd assumed would be the easy bit!

It appears the X TRVs are deeper than the v3s, so whilst the metal collar engages the TRV body remains loose and not connected. Any idea if I need an adapter (and if so which one) or am I doing something daft?

    update, this all appears ok, when pressing mount it seems to tighten itself up and then appears ok in the app!
