Tado X compatibility
Hi all
seems that Tado X is only opentherm compatibile (plus on/off obviously), whike the old V3 supports other protocols too, with a much larger compatibility list
as im planning a new heating system based on Tado X, compatibility to protocols different than opentherm is something we should expect or i have to keep the V3?
my technician proposed me an Immergas Tera 28 v2, looks like incompatibile with Tado X and opentherm but some users are using it with success with V3
looks like Tado X is a very stripped down and unmature product

I don’t know what they plan, but I don’t think you’ll see loads of BUS type protocols added any time soon.
In many cases manufacturer controls, weather compensation and maybe priority hot water can be a better option.

So are you suggesting using Tado in on-off mode ?

I wasn’t, but you could, of course.
I don’t know anything about your system, house, heat loss, usage, emitters, or any of the relevant stuff. If you are using someone that does, then they ought to advise.
