Notes on connecting the Tado V3+ Bridge to a Netgear Orbi 870 mesh
I have just recently upgraded my home internet connection to fibre optics. This resulted in the modem moving from the centre of my house to an outside wall. My house has a lot of solid brick walls in it from several brick chimneys and various extensions over the years so, at the same time, I upgraded my mesh system from a Google Nest system that required 5 satellite units to a Netgear Orbi 570 that only required two.
I soon found the downside, the ethernet outputs on the satellites were not suitable for the Tado Bridge. Thankfully, the Netgear Orbi 870 router had an additional output that was.
I'm pleased to say that, despite the bridge being moved to an outside wall, my Tado network is now fully working.
