Summer mode for district heating areas
Hello. I know this has probably been asked tons of times, but it's a feature that must be implemented as soon as possibile.
Tado products can be used in totally autonomous heating systems as well in semi-autonomous systems like district heating.
Here in Italy, in many ares we have district heating which is operational tipically from mid-october to mid-april. This means there is a central control who decides the days and hours of heating and and the maximum temperature. In our apartments we still use thermostats and valves like Tado's ones, tipically to save money turning them off if not needed in some rooms, or setting a lower temperature or using scheduling.
In summer, we have a problem. All the system is turned off by the provider, and they ask us to leave thermostats and valves at their maximum aperture possibile, which is level 5 or 7 in manual thermostats, in order to mantain water pipes and to correctly recharge the system during the summer off-time. With Tado X, currently this is only possible forcing the temperature to the maximum, 30°C, and leaving it like that until october. This is a workaround thats works unless the ambient temperature goes beyond 30°C. And believe me, summer in Italy can go well beyond that. In this case, Tado closes all the valves because the ambient temperature is higher than 30°C. But we must leave them opened! So, please implement a "summer mode" or something like that in the app, it's not rocket science… Or at least implement a button similar to "ALL ON" to force the system to stay opened all the time.
