Installer recommendation: Cheshire/ Staffordshire
Hi Tado's
I have got some gear, ready to go. connected to my home assistant server and all - but I cannot find an installer to do the install at a reasonable price.
I mean paying more than twice the cost of the boiler controller to install it is nuts right? Am I just expecting too much? It should be an easy hour or two job to do that bit right?
I did all the pairing, connecting and everything - I just need a certified person to wire up the controller.
Thoughts?

@CraigLambie42 Hello. Installing a Tado starter kit (wireless receiver or wired thermostat) should be straightforward for a sparkie or heating engineer. Tado will provide wiring instructions and competent DIYers can do this too.
Pairing and connecting multiple Tado TRVs etc is the time-consuming part.
Which Tado kit have you purchased/set up?
What is the make/model of your heating:
- Boiler? combi or system boiler with S-Plan / Y-Plan zone valves?
- Heating controls and thermostat?
- Radiators/UFH/HW cylinder?

Thanks for the comment WaterOakley.
I have the 3 x Tado V3+ kit
There are 2 x
- boiler Valliant with a
- 300L tank
- Radiators (7)
- Not sure on the plan tbh that is where I stopped understanding myself. Then I have a "simpler" one to replace a honeywell controller.
It is attached to a Samsung ASHP.This one doesn't appear to have the ability to "control" the DHW… but the 6 rads have Smart TRVs on them.

No way I’d recommend sticking Tado on there. Get someone competent that understands the system. Ideally the building, the heat loss etc too.

@CraigLambie42 Hello. Best to reach out to Tado support for thier advice, from the chatbot on the main web pages.
I've had a good look at your photos. It appears to have two two-way zone valves? (S-Plan?). The control box on the wall is being used as a wiring centre. It's a rats nest of wires, with six cables for power, two zone valves, HW, pump and boiler?
My reaction is that the heating and HW should be controllable by Tado. However, I'd strongly recommend engaging an experienced tradesperson, who can decode what's going on with the cables and rats nest of wiring.
