I would suggest making the room temperature a user defined setting.

I’d have to agree as a UK user, I ignore the humidity now and home temperature ratios to, you can’t make any notable difference by opening windows or indeed firing the heating up more, reducing it in summer when it’s stifling hot (we always wish), is using a dehumidifier, it’s handy to have humidity reads if your in a house that needs monitoring though. Upto 21 degrees (from 18) seems to be the health recognised suggested. Saying my homes cold running right upto the upper limits of the above is very wasteful on resources.

I also believe that a room for a baby should be somewhere in the region of 18 degrees so more flexibility should result in less overheating babies/less sleepless nights :).

I agree that this should be user definable. I personally don't want a lower comfort range, but I appreciate that others might and I don't think the system should dictate what is "comfortable".12

Any news on this? The air comfort bit is useless currently as it just always says its cold, and the monthly report claims the heating is always at an energy saving temperature. Please sort this!10

Bump - a whole section of the features in the app are entirely useless until this is fixed.

I completely agree with you, there are many functions within the App that would/should be user configurable to make then usable.
I would personally like to 'hide' many of these useless 'add ons' because they detract from the actual functionality of the app.3 -

Please no! They only implement like 3/4 of features per year, so other important features will be skipped. This feature litterally takes an afternoon of programming at most, yet they will pretend they are working on this for months.

I've raised this with their support, they suggested adding a topic here, so I told them it already existed and asked if they could give an update on here - Staff member "Nikola" said they would do so. Here's hoping they do so...

+1; in Italy it’s illegal to set your thermostat over 22 degrees and Tado seems to recognise this by not allowing to set the temperature over 25 degrees; but then telling me that a room at 20 degrees is cold feels a lot like a contradiction8

Standard heating design temps in UK is 18degrees for bedrooms, 21 in living areas.
Tado is constantly telling me to turn the heating up, at the cost the environment!
User defined by room would be needed.
BUT Tado please don't spend a second on this if the alternative is improving signal range or multiple bridges/repeaters. That is my No1 need!7 -
As a new Tado user of an App based product, and a software developer by trade, I find it incredible that companies like Tado (and Hive) are arrogant to the point of hard-coding settings that are so personal to each user, and that are likely to vary so much depending on locale.
Things like comfort settings vary, even between members of my own household - they should absolutely be a user defined setting.
I would add that settings like the geo-fence ranges should also be user-defined, and there should probably be a way to add specific locations (workplace, gym and such like) that you're likely to leave and travel straight home from.

Agreed — if I were to set the heating to what Tado thinks is a "comfortable" temperature, I would not only be melting out of my skin but it would completely undo any of the energy savings that a smart heating system is supposed to provide.
19º-20º is "comfortable" heating in the UK. This really needs to be configurable.

With an old house heating to 22 is not very environmentally friendly.4 -
It is definitely more than a bit bats to be told to heat a bedroom above 18C in the middle of the day, especially when it is unused day to day and the door is closed. Same for the living room or kitchen overnight. I mean, like, huh? What planet are these people on?

Not that there seems to be much point in this but..I wish to add my support and voice to this request. I thought I was just being miserly with my heating :)
18c to 20c seems fine to me and heating off in unused rooms.
User selectable comfort ranges sounds like the answer.

Agree with this, all my rooms are set below 20C .. and are supposedly therefore too cold!
