Honeywell programmer

I have a Honeywell thermostat and also a programmer for heating and hot water schedule. Can I replace both of them with tado? Is it true that I need to replace the thermostat only and leave the programmer on always on?

    Yes, you can almost certainly do this.

    My system had Siemens programmer and a wired thermostat in the hall. I've replaced those with the extension kit and Smart thermostat respectively. I also have Tado radiator thernostats and the system is set up so any room can call for heat.

    I would expect your Honeywell set up to be wired the same as mine if it's a standard S-plan system
