Does Tado need auto-assist

Auto-assist is a paid for subscription but after i installed the app on my phone before installing the kit. I had geo fencing asking me if i wanted to turn off the heat. And after installing the kit i moved the thermostat and tado told me it detected an open window.

Both of these happened before i started the trial of auto assist.

Why do we pay for auto assist if this already happens??
