Away mode schedules for hot water

Away mode for hot water is simply on or off. Is it possible to have on or off or a schedule?
As is case with heating, when I go away in winter months, I would want some heat in the water system as well as within the home to ensure against freezing pipes and condensation build up in rooms and mould.

Yes, the hot water scheduling is not very smart. Not sure if you know already but you can disable geolocation for hot water time blocks. This means the hot water can be scheduled to come on for a minimum time each day regardless of the home/away status.
