Changing the temperature on the smart thermostat when internet bridge is offline

I have no internet subscription at my place yet. When I tap the arrow to change the temperature on the thermostat I can only go one degree at a time. The display shows a check mark which I have to confirm with the button. Then I have to do it all over again. Tips would be appreciated.

    I had the same issue and just got support from Tado Germany.
    Try switching off the smart thermostat by pressing on the button for 10sec. Then once more to switch back on. It solved the issue for me.

    I am glad i still have my old system connected in parallel with Tado. So if the internet is down or Tado breaks down, I still able to control the heating.

    Wow, so this basic use case is not even implemented properly? I think I'm going to return my thermostat.
