Low battery how long to update

Had the low battery warning so put new batteries in following the online instructions and around 5 minutes later still showing low battery. Any help

    Update tried another couple of sets after testing with a multimeter and the third set cleared the warning after a couple of minutes
    Put the rechargeable ones on for a top up just in case
