Static IP

I would like to give the tado internet bridge a fixed IP address.

Why would I do that?

At the moment the tado internet bridge is connected in the corperate LAN. However because of security reasons I'd like to move it to a VLAN where other IoT devices are. That's more secure.

But how do I change the internal IP address of the Tado internet bridge?

You can run a DHCP server on your IoT network that assigns a fixed IP based on the MAC address or Client-ID of the Tado device.

    Thank you for your answer.

Yes I know that is possible, and I have a DHCP server running in the IoT network. Thing is, the tado bridge is wired. All other IoT devices are wireless. If I need to get the tado in the wired IoT network, that means I need to buy an extra managed switch just for the tado bridge. Pretty costly solution for 1 device. Thats why I want to give it a new IP address.

But I'm realy afraid there is no possibility to change the IP of the tado bridge.

Seriously, when you want to make a separate IoT VLAN, get a managed switch! They start at ~25 euro these days.

Tado bridge supports only configuration via DHCP.
