I had to reset my Android phone (8.0.0) and reload all Apps.

Tado would not install from the Playstore, saying it was incompatible with my device.

Such forced obsolescence is not acceptable.

    @Yeuclid Can you upgrade to Android 9.0? Or use the web version of the Tado app with Chrome, Safari or Firefox?

    Android 8.0 dates from 2017 and Goggle stopped supporting that version in October 2021. The oldest Goggle supported version is Android 12 which was released on the same date in October 2021 that 8.0 was unsupported. The Tado web site says it supports android 9.0 onwards, which dates from 2018 and that version was unsupported by Goggle in January 2022.

    If I may suggest, from experience of managing software products and as an app user, the obsolecence ire should be aimed at the large OS/platform suppliers that force small app vendors to follow the OS/platform release cycle.
