Tado installation

Hi sorry to Jump straight in with a question but im a bit confused,

I already have installed 1 x wired Thermostat 1 x wireless temperature sensor 8 x smart radiator thermostats the installation is on a Baxi premium 600 boiler what im wanting to do is remove the wired thermostat and and install a wireless controller,I have 2 questions regarding this 1 can the wireless temperature sensor I have be used to control the wireless receiver. 2 is the wireless receiver open therm compatible with the system what would be the advantage of connecting to the boilers open therm connections.
