Installation of New Tado system with 15 Smart Radiator Thermostats

Dear Community,

Have recently purchased a new amazing Tado system and have three installation questions.

I am very keen for our new Tado system to maximise energy savings, utilise the full feature set, access reports to show others the savings we have achieved and ensuring the system is installed using “best practice”.

Tado Kit purchased:

1 x Tado Starter Kit v3+ Wireless Smart Thermostat including Programmer with Hot Water Control

15 x Smart Radiator Thermostat

Current system to be replaced:

Honeywell ST9100C programmer for hot water control (located near boiler)

Honeywell Evohome Connected Thermostat Pack ATP921R3100

Honeywell Single Zone Thermostat Y87RF2024

Current System Overview:

The system has two zones Ground floor and First floor, each zone having a zone valve located next to the water tank. The Honeywell Evohome Connected Thermostat controls the ground floor zone. The Honeywell Single Zone Thermostat controls the first floor zone. The Honeywell ST9100C programmer controls hot water.

Can you please:

  1. Confirm how the two zone values are controlled, understanding we have 15 Smart Radiator Thermostat on all radiators bar one pass through radiator on each floor.
  2. Provide wiring guidance to move from the old system to our new Tado Smart system
  3. Confirm we have the necessary Tado kit to achieve our objectives and use the full capabilities of the system
