Smart Radiator Themostat problem

Hi, I am setting up my new Tado system and all was going well until I started installing the radiator thermostats. two are working fine but the last two had issues pairing and now they don't have any sign of life at all there are no lights on them and they don't say Hi if I take out the batteries and put them back in. I have changed the batteries and still the same. If I press the pairing button then nothing happens


are they dead? is this common if so I am pretty disappointed. is there a method I am unaware of to bring them back to life?

    Try removing the batteries for at least 10 minutes then reinstall the batteries.

    See if that resets them.
