Non trv radiators

Hi Folks,
Can I add tado thermostatic controls to all my radiators or do I have to leave one or to without trvs?
Background. Moved into flat 10 radiators and 8 had trvs. Put tado on the 8 but 2 are left with basic control (installed 20 years ago) .
Do I just leave these as heat sinks, whatever that is, or can I get the valve changed and put tado therms on them?

Hi @andyfff
The " normal " consensus of opinion is that 1 radiator is left as non-smart.......usually a towel rail (if you have one).
However most "new" boilers are fitted with a "bypass" system to eliminate the possibility of over heating / over pressure. So if your boiler is an older model......leave 1 radiator without a smart thermostat.

Thanks for the prompt reply!
My combi boiler is a Valliant eco tech pro 28 (a condensing one, my gas guy said), installed in 2015.
Looks like that's modern enough to allow me to convert 2 remaining ones and add smart trvs at some point in the future.
Thanks again0
