Valliant ecobus - can I utilise instead of current 230v Y plan?

Hi All,

I posted several weeks ago about getting my Valliant Ecotec 630 plus wired in to my extension kit for heating and hot water. I successfully wired that in using the Y plan on the 230V feed. It has however come to my attention that I likely have VR65 ebus on my system (I haven't opened up the boiler to check yet).

If this is the case am I correct in thinking it would be of no use. It looks as though ebus can only be used where there is no domestic hot water cylinder currently operating on a 230v Y plan system currently?
