Adding a zone controller

Does anyone have any tips on making a Tado wired thermostat a zone controller?
If I look in the app, I can assign it to a zone controller or make it independent (no zone controller), but I want to make it a zone controller as I have 3 controllers (2 x heating & 1 x hot water) so the TRVs upstairs can make a request for heat and to turn the boiler on.
Do I need support to make some backend change so it can be registered as a zone controller?

I think you go to the settings for each of the *rooms* where your TRVs are, and select your thermostat as the zone controller.
This option isn't showing for me right now, but it was yesterday. Hopefully it's there for you.
