Create an option for the Radiator Knob to NOT trigger the boiler

Options

For houses with a floor heating system the setup how TADO Thermostat works with the radiator buttons not ideal. If one of the radiator buttons requires the radiator to heat up, this will now trigger the boiler and will then trigger the floor heating as well consuming a lot of unwanted heat.

Suggestion is to create an option for each radiator button to trigger the boiler (which is todays setup) or NOT to trigger the boiler (new option). In the latter case the radiator would then only heat up of the total system requires the boiler to switch on.

This option would enable me to heat up certain rooms during parts of the day/week (when they are in use) leveraging the heat generated to heat the rest of the house as well, and to switch off the radiator with the radiator knob schedule when they are not in use.

@TvR this can already be done.

In the app, select Settings, Rooms and Devices, then click the room name. Scroll to the bottom and you should see the Zone Controller option.

The Zone Controller is likely set to be the wireless receiver/ thermostat that is wired to your boiler. This tells that room to request the zone controller device to fire the boiler when it needs heat.

To do what you want, simply set the zone controller to none. The radiator thermostat will then no longer be able to actively request heat.
