RAVL adaptor too big when mounted

So I have installed my thermostats on a number of my radiators.

A few of them, however, are causing me grief.

The valve simply seems to big for the adaptor, making the adaptor itself too big for the thermostat.

I have turned the adaptor until it clicks into the notches.

Questions:

1) What is the inner diameter of the metal ring on the thermostat mounting bracket?

2) Would it help to buy a metal adaptor or would that be to small for the Valve?

3) Any other suggestions?

    I found the solution.

    A TA Adaptor RAVL - M30x1,5.

    Just if anyone else faces the same problem
