If there’s no equipment left you will need to buy some.

I have ordered new ones but is there a way to get boiler working in the mean time?

Not if there’s nothing connected to it. You might be able to set the controls on it but I have no idea what it is so it’s hard to say.

@stigface not sure where you're located. If it's the UK it's not permitted for a seller to leave the heating system inoperative. They should have replaced the smart controls with standard controls and it should have been noted on the TA10 form. Speak to your solicitor about reclaiming the cost of equipment purchase and installation.

Are there wires just hanging out the wall where the thermostat would have gone? It seems like you've bought a house from a right set of spanners if they have done that. Screwfix keep Tado thier equipment in if you needed today.

Just to be sure, are you saying there’s no Tado equipment left at all? If there’s an extension kit/wireless receiver connected to the boiler the heating can be controlled manually
