Selling a house with a Tado system: best practices?

I have a Tado wired thermostat, wireless extension, and a few TRVs installed in a house that I am selling. I'm a bit concerned about how to hand this over to the new owner given that there'll be a period with no internet connection and it'll be winter when the house sells, so I'll likely want to keep the heating on low during any transition period and the new owner will want to use it immediately.

Assuming the new owner wants the Tado gear what's the best way to manage the handover? Anyone have first hand experience to relate? I'm sure I have seen a support doc about running without an internet connection but I can't find it now.

(I'm leaning towards just reinstalling the old stuff. It will be a pain as I filled the old holes etc but maybe less of a pain than dealing with the new owner when the heating doesn't work.)
