Where are we placing the thermostat

Hi in the UK and have placed my wireless thermostat on the wall in place of the old one and have no trv on the hall radiator, but reading up I see it’s recommended to have the thermostat in your main room, so what’s correct?

    The advantage of the Wireless Thermostat is that you can experiment with its position until you decide the best place for your unique household environment.......I have 2......1 in our living room and 1 in our kitchen.
