Honeywell T3R
Hi we moved into a home with a honewell thermostat, and have found this not suited to us.
I've tried upgrading to a tado but unfortunately spectacularly failed with a loud bang.
Below is the current thermostat, the tado once wired up, and then the error message recieved.
I can't seem to upload the images?
Have I killed the device?

You can upload images on the desktop version of the forum. Loud bang sounds ominous though.0

I’m not an electrician but I would say the burnt plastic is a pretty clear sign you’ve fried the circuit board. If you get another wired thermostat, you can use a low voltage digital connection if your boiler supports it, avoiding the chances of this happening again.0

So, I've managed to get a new one installed - with a wireless extender this time.
Install went OK, seems like thermostat all works.
Slow however to send information from thermostat to the boiler it seems.
I now seem to be stuck at a screen where it is quoting " unfinished installation "
I've tried restarting all components and still stuck on this!
Any advice?0 -
I think you probably need to contact Tado support, sounds like either the old wireless thermostat hasn’t been removed or there’s an issue with the wireless receiver. Is everything paired with the bridge?0

All old devices removed and then paired a new Internet bridge as the wireless extender didn't seem to work to start with.
New Internet bridge and it paired fine.
All trvs are connected, and the smart thermostat is controlling the heating it seems, but I can't get it to finish the install.0 -

You’ve got two internet bridges installed there, you need to uninstall the old one.

This is what I though, but the option isn't there. Just "help".
Issue with the app / firmware?

Yeah saw this, have done that now. Just a shame the app isn't as flawless as it should be.0
