Can I use 2 wireless temperature sensors instead of trv's ?
I want to use 1 wireless sensor downstairs and then put 1 upstairs so I can controll heat in both areas rather than by room, can this be done and if so how ?

You haven’t given any information about your house’s heating system. In theory it can be done but it depends how your heating system is plumbed.0

how are you going to stop the rads downstairs heating up when upstairs requests heat?

yeah if the OP has a multi-zone heating system, hence why i asked the question how they are going to restrict heating upstairs/downstairs.
the vast majority of UK combi boiler installations are single zone covering the whole house. no idea where the OP is, but i'm in the UK so my responses will always be UK skewed.

Apologies as I am very new to this. I am uk, my combo boiler is a valiant eco and I wanted to know how to control upstairs heat without it effecting downstairs rather than rooms. I live in literally a 2 up and 2 down terrace property, bathroom centre of house upstairs with no window. Upstairs is always very cold in winter compared to downstairs. I have the the tado wireless kit already installed, have no rv's so when heating on its heats both floors to same temperature. Hope that helps to answer my question. I really want to understand in layman's terms how it works and best way to make it work. Many thanks0

chances are, as you are UK with a combi, you will only have 1 zone, hence you would only have the ability to turn heat on for all rads, not just upstairs or downstairs.
to get individual room control you'd need smart TRVs on each rad.
if upstairs is always very cold, have you checked if you have sufficient loft/roof space insulation?
