Considering a Tado install and I have questions.
Hi all
Im considering upgrading my home heating setup (Picture bellow) and after trying to research myself I've ended up with some conflicting information.
I would like to know how best to make my boiler connection, some have said I would be better replacing the Danfoss TP5000 (Picture of internal wiring shown) for a wired Tado Thermostat. But some have said I would be better putting a wireless receiver connected to the boiler and having a wireless thermostat. I'm aware that I will need the Tado Internet bridge and that will be installed on my router which is located in the small room called S/C on the plan.
A feature which is very important to me is to make sure my Worcester Greenstar 36Cdi is being modulated corectly to save energy, have looked into opentherm but I believe this is a feature which has been removed from some Tado devices (Remains on the wired thermostat and the EU version of the wireless receiver, but was removed from the UK Wireless receiver and wireless thermostat.
I would also like to replace all my rad valves for Tado Smart TRVs (apart from the hall for an overflow release). The normal radiators should just swap straight out as they already have manual TRVs installed, but I would also like to know if its possible to change the existing manual valve on the bathroom/ensuite towel rails (picture bellow) for a TRV which can have a Smart Tado valve fitted.
I would very much appreciate assistance with this so I can make sure I get the right instal done first time. (Im planning on hiring an electrician and or plumber for all works).
Many thanks
Nick

Why is the modulation important? Yes, I recognise it may be more efficient. However the relay control does give significant savings circa 25/30% with our system boiler.
From our experience with a modern uk boiler I’d use a wireless Tado setup and not worry about the modulation stuff.
The plumber should fit e.g. Honeywell trv valves. You’ll need to look at the boiler bypass requirements.0
