Installing... no black cable?

I'm in the midst of installing the older extension kit (so to have OpenTherm support) onto my Baxi 830 boiler.

The app instructions are advising me to insulate/cover the blue and brown cables as I'll only need the grey and black. However the cable in the box with my extension kit has no black cable... any ideas?

I do have the cable from the wireless starter kit (v3) that I could use and has all 4 cores...

    Just use any sort of bell wire, it really doesn’t matter with a digital connection. No polarity either.
