Batteries stuck in the valve
Is anyone else having issues with batteries getting stuck inside the valves? Like the slots are slightly too small for them? I’m having the issue across 3-4 of my valves and have tried 3 different brands of AA batteries. Each time I have to lever them out with a screwdriver, damaging the (rechargeable) batteries.

@Ikron84 what rechargeable batteries are you using?
Tado officially only support Panasonic Eneloop AA 1900 mAh NiMH rechargeable batteries.
The primary reason for this is battery diameter is smaller than that of other rechargeables. The dimensions for AA batteries are not that strict and rechargeables are typically fatter than other batteries so they can get stuck.
See this page here for an explanation from a tado employee:
Here's a copy of the graph they showed:

Thankyou that’s really helpful. Though baffling that tado don’t add a bit of tolerance given there’s only 0.21mm difference between the biggest and smallest batteries tested!!1

@Ikron84 - how did you lever them out? Asking for a friend…0

This has happened to me with some battery brands, Duracell seem OK, and I think there's a bit of variation between the individual TRVs. Long nosed pliers are pretty good for pulling stuck cells out . . .

I had to lever the first one out with a flathead screwdriver - a bit dangerous but couldn’t get it out otherwise. Battery came out pretty damaged, but the valve was fine. Second one came out easily once the first was out.0
