Kids and the thermostat

When I dissappear from home the kids like to sit in their shorts with the stat' cranked up high. Anyway I can get a phone alert that they are abusing it please? :D

I think the only thing you can do is set manual control to last a few minutes so they have to keep turning it up.0

You could query the API and send an alert using something like Pushover. You could also automatically turn it back down.

As well as the setting manual control to a few minutes as suggested by Johnny, an alternative is to put on the child lock in the trv settings.

Unless they are doing it on the wall mounted thermostats of course.....no child lock on those.0
