Worcester Bosch Greenstar 4000 System GR4700iW 12 S NG system 12kw

I am planning on purchasing a new system boiler, Worcester Bosch Greenstar 4000 series 12kW its got some very good green features of being able to modulates down to 1.9kW central heating output. I also plan to have a 250L unvented tank.

The Worcester Bosch controls are able to modulate and control the boiler well, Will the Tado product be able to modulate the boiler? I know Tado have had a few changes and removed features like opentherm from UK products but I want to know about opentherm support for system boilers etc from my understand Tado doesn't support modulation on system boilers (s-plan/y-plan etc)

It’s not Tado, it’s the way s/y plan systems are designed. If you look into installing pdhw/x plan instead you can have a modulating connection on a system boiler.
  • @johnnyp78 thank for the response I don't know enough about systems boilers and learning about them, I have seen S, Y, W not sure what X plan is something I will read into, thanks
