Google home startup screen and tado temperature

Because you cannot see the temperature in the thermostat display i saw the combination sale of thermostat and google home device and bought the google home next gen 2 display separate. Now i still cannot see the temperature without swiping the screen. Is there a way to display the startup screen with the temperature widget?
