Why is my wired thermostat not pairing?

New house, Tado wired thermostat, radiator thermostats but no bridge. Bought new bridge and paired it along with the radiators but the thermostat either doesn’t pair or at least isn’t connected on the app. It works and display is on. If I hold the the button for 3 seconds the pairing symbol is already connected? Am I doing something wrong?

    Sounds like it’s already paired. Try holding the front button for 10 seconds and see if it restarts.

    Thank you, unfortunately that didn’t do the trick. Does that mean it’s still paired to the old one even though it’s no longer there?
