Radiator is always on when it is set to off

Hi,

Please can you help.

One of my Radiators turns on when it is set to be off in the Schedule. It also comes on when I turn on any other radiator.

I have tried pretty much everything.

I have taken out the batteries and put them back in.

I have recalibrated the radiator.

I have deleted it from Tado and reinstalled it.

And finally, I have replaced the TRV with another Tado one, but the problem persists.

I have noticed that when I take the Tado valve off it looks different from another radiator, the radiator’s pin seems to be missing. Just wondering if this has anything to do with the problem?

I enclose 2 photos. The first one is the problem radiator, the second is a radiator that doesn’t have this issue, where the pin is visible.

Thank you

  • It needs to push down the pin in the radiator valve to shut it off.

  • Hi,

    Thank you for your comment.

I apologize for my lack of knowledge but the pin seems to be hidden, whether the radiator is on or off.

  • Assuming both rads have identical valves, then take off the lower part of the Tado (the bit you haven't removed) and compare.
