Do I need to replace my wired tado thermostat

Apologies in advanced I’m sure I’ll ramble. I have a wired Tado thermostat and internet bridge and Tado radiator thermostats. I also have an old boiler with separate water tank. Do I need to replace my wired thermostat with wireless plus the add on wired receiver to control the hot water?
It seems to be a hit or a miss if I have hot water. I’m guessing it only heats if a radiator is on.
I can’t see an option to buy the add on wired receiver separately so assume I need to replace the lot?
Any help gratefully received.

If you want to control hot water you need the wireless receiver. As far as I know there’ isn’t any Tado model called the wired receiver. You can buy it as an add on.
  • Wireless receiver. Yes. Sorry, long day at work. So I’d need to change from a wired thermostat too and buy the wireless?

It depends on your wiring, but it should be a straight swap to replace the wired thermostat with the wireless receiver. You can then use the thermostat wirelessly.
