@Mic2876uk I do, but I have no way to post it on here. You connect to the BUS + and - and you need to bridge the 24v RT.1

It should if your boiler is combi. It might not be straightforward if yours is a system or heat only. This is not eBus vs OpenTherm , more of what system you have and how it has been set up.

I don’t think that’s quite right. If the boiler is a combi with Opentherm Tado usually supports it, but it doesn’t support all combis with proprietary ebus protocols, so it is ebus vs Opentherm.0

Mine is a Vaillant Ecotec 835 and modulates happily. Don't forget to set the thermostat accordingly. There's a good thread https://community.tado.com/en-gb/discussion/comment/5707#Comment_5707

Hi, thanks for your replies. I did go for a Vaillant Combi boiler, I installed the new Ecotec Plus 832 in July and connected Tado V3+ wired to it. I can say that it works perfectly, during this recent spell of cooler weather I've seen the boiler modulate as low as 11% (minimum modulation on 832 at 1:9) and flow temps down as low as 36 degrees. It was simple to wire it up using the Ebus +/- terminals at the boiler and Tado thermostat.0

@Dubcartel do you have photos of the wring inside the boiler for the eBus? I'm about to move to a new property with a Vailliant boiler with ebus and i'm keen to not loose the benifits I've had with opentherm on my Ideal boiler in my old house

i found the attached on another thread, and have translated to English. Had a few problems at first install with getting the boiler to switch off after wireless reciever demand stopped.
However after following the above (wiring the same as Dubcartels picture) and set as per config and it's all working fine now.
I did get slightly surprised as my app started showing Hot Water, however this is a control for the Boilers DHW temperature output. You can set a schedule but have just left mine on constant constant

@Willmcewan if you use the tado installer app, available at all good app stores, you can tell it your boiler is a combi and no hot water tank, and the hot water tile will disappear. It has no function whatsoever when tado is used with a combi, all your got water control is done at the boiler.0
