Baxi Luna Air (new models) integration for diagnostics

Options

Hi,

I purchased a complete Tado system (wired smart thermostat kit V3+ and 8 Smart Radiator Thermostat V3+).

At the time of purchase I requested compatibility with my boiler (Baxi Luna Air 28, brand new) which was confirmed.

The system globally works very well, it controls the boiler by modulating the delivery temperature and also controlling the domestic water temperature.

However, the Tado system is able to detect any faults/malfunctions in the Care & protect section on my boiler.

Last winter it happened a few timesthat the pressure in the water circuit was too low and the boiler was blocked. No warning ever appeared on the Tado app, in fact the boiler was shown as perfectly functional (even if it wasn't heating).

The exact model of the boiler is not listed in the Care & protect setup section of the app, but it is fully OpenTherm compatible (the supplied thermostat with the boiler communicates with the OpenTherm protocol, not proprietary protocols like other brands).

Is it possible to also register this model, totally opentherm, so as to be able to also view malfunctions and get notifications?

This is the datasheet of the boiler:

I'm an informatic technician with experience also in electronic and communication protocols, so if I can help in any way with the integration of the boiler in your DB, I'm available.

Thanks in advance

It doesn’t detect any faults on any boiler so don’t worry about it, it’s just tado marketing hyperbole.

My ideal boiler is connected with Opentherm and had several low pressure faults when a pipe jammed. Tado didn’t register anything wrong. I suspect that will be everyone’s experience.

    Near the same issue here.

Baxi brand boiler (full OpenTherm) installed with Tado thermostat in place of the Baxi original (OpenTherm) controller.

3-4 boiler block due to low pressure. Tado reports the system works fine, even if all the rooms was at "100% heating" but the temperatures keeps lowering.

I've tried to insert another Baxi boiler present in the DB of the care&protect section, which is compatible with OpenTherm. Hope this works. I'll let you know

    Thanks
