Thermostat issues

I have the tado v3 kit and tado trvs on all radiators…
If i set the thermostat to a temperature nothing happens at all the combi boiler does not kick in..
If i set a trv it does
Do i need to change the settings for the thermostat and if i change the temperature on the thermostat manually should this bring on the heating ?
At the moment all the thermostat is good for is telling me the room temp but doesn't seem to do anything else… or is there something wrong.
I have checked and rechecked the install videos .. the thermostat is wireless not wired in
