Away Mode Use

Hi all,
I’m just returning from a 10 day holiday. When we left, I manually set Tado to Away mode with all rooms set to frost protection only and water off - I have an extension kit fitted to the combo boiler.

I had a look at the temps of the rooms a few days and was surprised to see the kitchen room trying to heat to 21c - I’d hit resume schedule and watch it return to frost protection.

None of the schedules for that room contains a 21c setting so I’m completely puzzled as to what’s happened.

Any ideas?

TIA

Tony

Which date did that happen on, one or two users (myself included) had oddities on the 18th . . .

I left home midday on the 11th of Jan. My gas supplier app shows gas usage from 46.19kWh on Friday 12th (might be reasonable) as the UK was cold, through to to 94.77kWh on the 19th of Jan (this seems very high to me, even allowing for the colder weather) but might be related to the issues @hugbilly and others saw on the 18th.

From midday on the 11th, to 01:00 on the 22nd had my Tado on Away mode so it all seems very high usage - I don't think the app has been recently updated.

At the current UK rates, that equates to £35.80 for the time we were on holiday and the Tado was on Away mode 🤷

Does the Away mode kick in at the low temp (5c) and then keep on heating or should it turn off when a decent heat is achieved?

    TIA
