Honeywell T40 two wire replacement

I’ve got an old Honeywell t40 thermostat that only has two wires connected.

Brown wire connected to 1 and blue connect to 2.

I’ve bought the Tado wired version but I’m unsure if the connections as the app doesn’t have a guide for them.

Can anyone advise where I should connect these two wires, please?

I believe the blue wire should be connected to the terminal marked 'NO' (Normally Open) and the brown wire to the COM (common). That's how I wired mine, and it seems to work well.
