My current setup, a Honeywell hc60ng has 4 wires, N, L, and A&B, struggling to work out where the a and b wires go on the tado

    Tado should give you detailed wiring instructions when you start the install. IIRC the HC90NG is the receiver for a Honeywell wireless thermostat. What is your boiler and the old heating controls? Did you go for the wired or wireless Tado starter kit?

    Assuming you had a separate controller/programmer, you will usually join the grey and black wires on A & B in the receiver with a wago connector from the starter kit. That means the receiver wiring will always 'call for heat' and your starter kit will usually replace the controller/programmer unit.
