Is there a way of linking Tado schedule to Apple calendar so I can set timings etc for heating to accommodate without having to do manually on a weekly or daily basis?

    Is there a reason why you are not using Apple Homekit instead of the Tado app? There might be a way to create an automation to trigger a scene in the Apple Homekit which might do what you want.
