Wiring Query

Today installed v3 Smart Tado Wireless Thermostat on Combi boiler with a salus RT500 rx. When looking at the Tado wiring instructions it shows a bridge required between L & COM for a Switched Live setup. However, my Salus setup had a bridge between L & NO which was neither the Tado suggestion for Switched Live or Potential Free. I have wired it as per the original Salus install (L & NO) and it appears to be working ok but I just wanted to check if my use of the salus bridge approach is an issue that I may not be aware of yet?
