Still installing Tado, TRV problem

Awaiting electrician to connect Tado programmer, done Internet Bridge satisfactorily but the Tado TRV says offline
Should it work while programmer still not connected please?

Have you operated pairing on both the TRV and the bridge?

Yes but still won't pair,

I had that difficulty with a couple of TRVs, tadoº's advice was to bring the TRV nearer to the bridge (but not less than 3 metres away) and try again. It worked and the TRV remained connected when it was moved to its working location . . .

Thanks however I tried moving it to 3 inches away & still have same problem.
