Assistance Needed with Tado Thermostat Setup for Two Zones

So we have the same situation here actually on two different houses, as they are family and they have both put under floor heating in their homes, and so we have the same challenge in both houses.

We have bough a total of 4 Tado Starter kits, so have spent quite a bit of money.

The challenge is:

  • Combi boiler in both houses. One is a Baxi one is a Worcester. If the models of these boilers are crucial to answering the question let me know I can find out.
  • We have for each house, one tado° Wired Smart Thermostat Starter Kit V3+ and one tado° Wireless Smart Thermostat Starter Kit V3+. The wired one is connected to the under floor heating from the boiler. Each boiler is capable of receiving a call to on/off on two separate valves.
  • The aim is to control the underfloor heating using the wired thermostat. And then the wireless one to control the rest of the house central heating as normal.
  • A bridge has come in each box, I am first curious to know if one bridge is enough to control both the wireless and wired ones or if we need a bridge for each.

We have a qualified gas engineer involved but need help with the technical side of the setup.

    Options
    UFH zones need wired thermostats. Ideally you might want to think about installing a dedicated wired thermostat for each ufh zone. It saves money and helps to balance where the heating goes.
    If you have radiators, or also helps to have individual tado radiator stats. These also enable demands to be properly balanced.
    You will need a dedicated email account for each house, as these are paired to the specific Internet bridge.
    The Internet bridge isn't the big agent in the tado system. It's the wireless receiver. The room stats and radiator stats talk to the wireless receiver and that's where timing, himidity and basic temperature and boiler control is handled. The receiver then talks to the Tado offsite algorithmic server via the Internet bridge to sharpen its response curves taking account of the sun's impact and local weather.
    It is possible to add bits to enable ufh zone to be controlled wirelessly.
    We have found that ufh zone efficency are also improved by installing actuators that are automatic. Tado don't do these but they can be fitted from other sources and work well alongside a tado system.
