hi there

New to the group. I purchased a second hand tado v3+ wired starter kit but the box doesn’t have the stickers referred to in the instal guide. The old thermostat has 3 wires as per the picture attached. Any idea what these correspond

to on the tado wiring?

    Update: I have now got the tado setup thanks to the support chat. They were able to send me a wiring diagram that made it work. Basically they said it doesn’t matter what way the brown and black cables from my existing stat are installed as long as one went in COM and one in NO and the earth in P1. I put brown in COM and Black in NO with earth in P1. Below is extract from the mail. Hope this helps anyone else in same position. 5 stars to the support team very quick and efficient replies.

    These 2 wires are actually interchangeable so even if you switch them the installation will work correctly.

    Only important part is that the brown and black wire are connected to the contacts "NO" and "COM" and the Green-Yellow wire is in one of the 3 "P" terminals

    If you use the Tado app to do the install you should get customised instructions. Can you please check?

    I followed the app but got confused with the wiring the app looked like it was showing 4 wires when I only have 3.

    What has the app suggested to you?
    Contact the tado tech team for clarification (you may actually have more wires, but they may be unconnected and behind the plate.
